Child of Destiny (II)

“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer29:11.

The All-knowing, All-powerful God has the perfect plan for your life. That plan is better than any deal the devil, cultists, native doctors or indeed any man can offer you in this world(John10:10).In it you are completely and comprehensively insured . It is greater than the greatest insurance cover in the world. It is a master plan that covers every aspect of your existence from day one in your mother’s womb to the day you take your last bow from the world stage (Jer1:4, 5). Only you can play the unique role that the Lord has designed for you in life. There is an empty vacuum in history that only you can fill! There is a script that is specially designed by God for only you to act out before this global audience. It would be disastrous for you to ignore your role and try to play out mine or that of another person! Unfortunately, so many of us do not understand God’s plan for our lives. Some people spend their entire life trying to live like the Joneses. What a waste! Many never discover God’s design for their lives until the 11th hour when they are in the twilight of their life. How painful!

Better late than never! Moses was 80 years of age when he discovered God’s perfect plan for his life. Before then he had spent the first 40 years as a prince in Egypt, and the next 40 as a pauper in Midian. He had made mistakes and had derailed from the path of destiny. I spent a significant chunk of my life, doing stuff that God had not called me to do, and living a lifestyle that heaven did not design for me. What about you? Are you at the centre of God’s will for your life? As you evaluate your life in the light of scripture and God’s will, can you honestly say you are doing EXACTLY what God created you for, and living exactly as you ought to be living at this point in time? If you are not living in line with the Divine mandate for your life, then I beg to submit to you that you are actually wasting away. By consciously or unconsciously choosing to do things your own way, you are directly or indirectly passing some strong messages to God. That you know better than Him; that you really do not give a damn about His purpose and plan for your life; that you are too busy to care about why He created you in the first place. This is applicable to all men and women everywhere, irrespective of colour and creed. You may be swimming in wealth or wallowing in poverty. You may be in a developed country or in the so-called Third World. You may be weak or strong; tall or short, the story is the same. Each person has his work cut out, and ignorance is no excuse. Your destiny is too important to be left to chance. God will hold you accountable for how you lived your life (Matthew 25:14-30). It is your solemn responsibility to discover your place in God’s Great Agenda and then go all out to fulfil it. May God help you.
