About

It is all about Jesus. To know Him, to live for Him, and to make Him known. This is the summation of what we are about. We believe that Jesus Christ embodies EVERYTHING man would ever need to become the best he could be and to get the best he could get out of life here and in the world to come. So, to know Jesus is to have life, to live for Jesus is to live a full life, and to make Jesus known to those around us is to expose them to the fullness of life that Jesus gives (John 10:7-10).

  Who we are

WE ARE CHRISTIANS

We are a community of Bible-believing Christians linked together by our common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, striving together for the faith once delivered unto the saints, and working together to promote the interests of the Kingdom of God on this side of eternity.

This is our understanding of what a church is. The church is not the building. It is a group of 'called out ones' that make up the church. Where ever such a group of believers decide to meet for their regular fellowship and worship meetings becomes sanctified ground for God to meet with that group as a church for communion.John 4:20-24 , Matthew 18:15-20 , Romans l6:5,l0,11,l4.

The structure and nature of the physical entity where believers meet is merely physical. It does not enhance the spirituality or acceptability of their worship of God, neither does it elevate the level of their walk with God beyond that of other believers elsewhere. So whether a church meets in a temple, as some believers did in Apostolic times (Acts 2:46) , or whether they meet in Synagogues, like the primitive Jewish Christians (Acts 22:19;26:11), or in private homes as was common in the Early Church (Philemon 1:2, Colossians 4:15, Acts 2:42 ), what is most important is that they worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth (John 4: 23, 24).

WE ARE A HOUSE CHURCH WITH INSTITUTIONAL OFFSHOOT
We believe that the Early Church had two main patterns of Christian fellowship. The House Church and the Church in public places, which is also known as the institutional church. These two patterns of Christian fellowship are completely biblical and none is superior to the other. Depending on divine leading, any group of believers may choose to adopt one of these forms of fellowship or a combination of both in constituting a church structure.

And they continuing daily with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart Act 2:46.

And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house. Acts 20:20.

The first three centuries of the church, the Early Christians met in homes for their normal church services. This was an Apostolic practice that was followed by successive generations of Early Christians. It was more of the norm than an exception. So just like today's Christian is more used to the idea of 'church' as a large public place of worship, primitive Christians commonly saw 'church' within the context of an organised home fellowship.

House Church International is primarily patterned after the New Testament house church structure. We hold our regular church fellowship as small units in the homes of fellow believers. However, we also have an offshoot of believers in our ministry who fellowship within an institutional public church setting. Both patterns exist side by side within the ministry. We see this diversity within our church as a reflection of our commitment to the original pattern of 'church' structure contained in the New Testament as practised by the Apostles and the Early Church.

What we believe

We believe there is only ONE TRUE GOD and that He exists in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who are co-equal and co-eternal. All three persons in the Trinity are distinct yet perfectly united as the ONE true God. This is a mystery too great for finite minds to fully comprehend.

We believe in the DEITY OF CHRIST. The divinity of the Lord Jesus Christ is a central non-negotiable part of our Christian belief and faith. Jesus is the second person in the Trinity. He is the eternal unchangeable, ALL Knowing, ALL powerful, Ever-present God who became man so as to redeem mankind from the grip of Satan and sin. He was born sinless by a virgin; He lived a sinless life; He voluntarily lay down His life at the cross for the salvation of sinful man; He rose up three days after His crucifixion, and ascended into heaven in bodily form. He will be coming back again (Rapture / Second Coming of Christ) the same way He left.

We believe that MAN WAS CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD. Due to the fall of Adam and Eve our first parents, all men inherited the sinful and depraved nature. Man is a sinner by birth and by choice. As a result of sin, man is separated from God and stands condemned before Him in danger of eternal damnation.

We believe that THE BIBLE IS GOD'S INSPIRED WORD. It is inerrant. It is infallible. And it is the final authority on what we believe and on how we ought to live on this side of eternity.

We believe that REPENTANCE from sins and FAITH IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST are essential for salvation. The ungodly are called to repent and surrender their lives to the Lord Jesus. Forgiveness and JUSTIFICATION are freely available for the penitent by the grace of God through Christ.

We believe that believers are called to a life of Holiness and that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is a definite work of grace. All believers who have been cleansed from sin can be endued with The Power and Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that marriage is a God-ordained institution. The Bible teaches that it is a sacred relationship between man and woman.

We believe in the existence of a literal HELL and a literal Heaven. Scripture teaches that the wicked shall be turned into hell and that the New Heaven and the New Earth shall be the eternal abode of believers with God in eternity.

Missional

We are conscious of Christ's demands on us as disciples and we pattern our lives biblically such that we become light and salt in our community and in our world. We make serious effort to evangelise, taking Jesus to the world.

Relational

We encourage scripturally sound christian family relationships among ourselves. We work towards becoming one, in line with Christ's prayer for the saints.

WE ARE

Informal

We actively seek to simplify fellowship and break down walls of formalism and dry human traditions.Fellowship is informal, vibrant and real.

Practical

True Christianity is practical. We encourage and challenge one another to live practical Christian lives by the grace of God.We understand the need to be doers of the word of God and not hearers only.

Spiritual

Our focus is on worshipping the Lord in spirit and in truth, for 'the Father seeketh such to worship Him'. Spiritual growth is a priority, not material acquisition. We believe that as we seek Him first, He would add other things to us in line with His perfect will and plan for our lives.
